When the light is toned down they are said to be golden-colored beings who wear richly colored robes. They are nature spirits who weem interested in humans, but are shy.

Lore: Deva is a word which comes from the Persian and means "shining one," which is descriptive of their appearance.
It may have once been a generic term for all faery life, but as the world went west, first to Greece and then to Britain, it became associated with deeply elemental nature spirits.
Devas live in nature and almost seem at one with it. They can live in lakes, trees, or woods and take on elemental vibrations depending on where they choose to live. In England they are said to still populate the Epping Forest.
