ahhh yes.... another clinton cronie... I love love love the change obama promised....
Of course the Republicans are going to be shocked, horrified and hurt over every appointment, in other words the "New Loyal Opposition, Same as the Old Loyal Opposition", part of the same old vetting process.

He is NOT Janet Reno. He simply worked for her in the Justice department as did thousands of other people. Should that disqualify him?

Obama seems to be taking a conservative approach to the "Change" process. Don't expect wild eyed radicals coming to Washington to radically over throw the old system. There is a big difference between "Change" and Revolution; of course he some how he forgot to explain that to his idealistic followers.

Frankly I think we will probably get a Clintonian style of Administration with a face lift. Gone is the Austin Powers, groovy approach in the marketing process...

Which BTW... is a very radical change in the OLD DNC.

see nose... I don't want to bury him... I want him to make changes.. I want him to renew washington.. I want him to start something new... as he PROMISED america.... but appointment after appointment its showing me that he is reviving the clinton administration.... and I think that its a sad way for obama to throw away his chance to actually bring changes to washington.... so far... I don't see obama as doing anything new... the choices hes made so far show a pattern of cronism just like all the past administrations.... and hes throwing away a golden chance to really be different.... and its sadly telling...

see ya
cathy :)

Yes he did promise change; but he didn't say how much nor how soon.

Nothing is going to happen over night Cathy and the real question is whom should make the changes. Experienced Cronies that will favour incremental movements or wild eyed radicals that will make hasty judgements. It is obvious that Obama is using the incremental methods; that will probably be noticeable in more then a couple of years.

We had one of the strongest economies in decades under Clinton so that alone is reason to emulate his administration. Bush was the oddity..... not Clinton.

Cathy-

Obama lied his ass off soley for the purpose of getting elected.  Surely you aren't so naive as to believe he was really going to do as he said, are you?

But, then again, Obama did promise "change" when he campaigned, but never specified what "change" he would make.
It's now quite clear that he intends to "change" Washington back to the failed policies of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, and seems to what to use as many of same people to accomplish this "change".
