Couple Waits Till Marriage for First Kiss

CHICAGO ?nbsp; Won't kiss on the first date? How about waiting until marriage?

Chicagoans Melody LaLuz, 28, and Claudaniel Fabien, 30, shared their first kiss Saturday at the altar. The two teach abstinence at the city's public schools and practiced what they preached to their teenage students.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the couple had never kissed and that they had never been alone together in a house.

A friend of LaLuz says wedding guests cheered and stomped during the two-minute smooch.

LaLuz and Fabien say they have no worries about how they will spend their honeymoon in the Bahamas.

{ They kissed for two minutes after they were married. I'm surprised they didn't consumate the marriage right then and there! To each their own....I guess.}

ok. i can believe that they wanted to have sex, but refrained for whatever reasons. But It pushes the limits of my imagination as to why they didn't kiss if they were attracted to eachother.

i'm guessing at least one of them is about to find out the real reason their spouse was amazingly restrained.

Clicker are you inferring that one may be more interested in the home decor or one may have a big Melissa Etheridge CD collection?

Do any of you watch the show about the family with 18 children? Their oldest is engaged and that couple has never kissed. They hold hands, nothing more than that.

You can get all kinds of diseases by kissing.

What disease could they get before marriage that they won't get because they are now married?

It's basically the same as sucking on a toilet lid.

Funny, I never imagined you as such a romantic devil, James. Little wonder why your wife won't have sex seven days in a row with you.

a family with 18 children- and not polgomous? That is disgusting and impossible to give appropriate care and attention to each child. Means the woman spent almost all of her adult life pregnant, giving birth and nursing.  There is a reason that day care providers are not allowed to care for more than 5 children at a time. People actually watch a tv show about these people. Talk about nothing to do!

If you're referring to the Duggars, she pregnat with their 18th child.

I think their goal is to exhaust the choices of first names that begin with the letter "J".

You can't help it.  Kinda like watching a train wreck.

Driver,

Yes, that's the show I'm talking about.....the Duggars. Also yes, it's like a train wreck, you can't help but look. I especially am fascinated with the Mother. She seems oddly serene in the middle of all that yet sometimes the look in her eyes makes me wonder if she is all there.

Anyway one of the episodes was all about the oldest Son and his fiance. They have never done anything more intimate then hold hands and intend to keep it that way until they are married. It seems unfathomable to me but they seem to be happy enough so whatever works for them I guess.

At least people in "open relationships", and "swingers", are consenting adults.

What troubles me about The Duggars is, the older children are basically raising the younger ones while mommy and daddy are engaged in some wierd religious crusade.
Kinda freaky, indeed!

Me too, but, I'm not exactly "conservative" when it comes to intimate relationships, but I used to be. I was a virgin when I married at age 20, but when I was raising my sons I knew they might not take that same path, and we taught them to be responsible for their actions.  My sons are married now, but I know they were not virgins when they married.

Diffn't strokes for difrn't folks, I suppose.

I am all for it; that is what Freedom is about.

Chances are... that if you marry a virgin then you will live a better life. Not even kissing is a bit of a feat to say the least. Some will follow that path and some will fall, when that happens we should deal with it and not act pre-emptively.
