You should try my potato soup. Fry up some market sliced bacon and drain it well. Chop that into fair sized pieces and set it aside. Cut up some potatoes into bite size pieces and start them boiling. While that's boiling, grate some extra sharp cheddar cheese, and slice some green onions. After the potatoes are done drain off most of the water. Add most of the cheese, about half of a 16 oz. tub of sour cream, most of the onions, and an 8oz. container of heavy cream, and an 8 oz. container of half and half. Keep it over very low heat and stir it so the milks don't scortch. Top it with a spoonfulof sour cream, some grated cheese, onion and bacon on top.
