Hi folks, thanks for letting me join! You have a great site here, very well built and very informative.  I have had chickens for around 30 years, mostly my own of Rhode Island Red crosses.  They lay some awesome Brown eggs.  I have found a breed of chicken which I am really excited about and have ordered my first pair, (on hold now until the weather gets a little warmer)  These are the smallest chickens in the world, they are bantees but with a mixture from Jungle Fowls of Malayasia.  Here is a picture of one of the champion hens from the guy that first introduced the breed into the US in the year 2000, Jerry of New Orleans.  This hen is full grown and only weighs SEVEN ounces!  I am really excited about these chickens, and I guess I just wanted to know if any of you owned any of them?  Again, thanks for letting me join this fine group!

Oooo... lucky you!  I love Seramas and have always hankered after them.  Unfortunately, they cost an arm and a leg over here in the UK so they're beyond my budget just now.  One day though, one day....   Darned cute little things though, aren't they.

I've just looked through your photos - gorgeous looking roo you have there, absolutely beautiful colouring.

ChickenWings, thanks for your reply!  Yes the Seramas are cute little chickens, and very friendly so I hear.  I still haven't received mine, waiting for the weather to break and shipping arrangements are made, I live in the sticks unfortunately---no major airlines fly into our airports, lol!  Just heard from the guy who brought them into the US (Jerry) that the magazine Backyard Poulty is running an article on the Serama in their April edition.  We are all excited about this.  There is a nice guy in the UK named Kevin who raises Seramas and led me to this group here in the US.  We are members of the SCNA (Serama Council of North America) and right now working on getting the breed accepted into those Bantam organizations and such; it isn't an easy task,  lol.  Thanks for the comments on the rooster.  He is a Rhode Island mix, I think probably some game breed.  You guys have a great day! and again, thanks for replying!
