I have a Rhode Island Red/Golden Comet Mix Rooster around a year old. Lately, he is walking stiff-legged and cannot get on the Roost. This comes and goes, he will be this way around a month, then will all of a sudden have a recovery and be good for another couple of months. None of the other chickens in the coop have this problem, so I don't think it is viral or contagious. This Roosters did come from somewhere else, a guy at work gave him to me. Does anyone here have any suggestions on what to do for him? He is a very beautiful Rooster but if this is something genetic or anything like that, I really need to get him out of my coop. Thanks for your time in this matter. |

I'm sorry about your roo, Tweety. Unfortunately, I'm none the wiser with this problem as I've never encountered it. I do hope someone will come along soon to help you. |
