Cage and Bedding
The less time your bunny spends outside the cage, the bigger the cage will need to be. If your bunny only sleeps in a cage at night, it should be at least 4 times as large as your bunny. If your bunny spends more time in the cage, it needs room to run around. Your bunny should get at least 3 hours time outside of the cage each day with a larger cage. If you use a smaller cage, more play time will be needed up to as much time as you can spend with your bunny; by keeping an eye on your bunny, or about 10 hours.
If you have a large cage you can have a separate bed made from a box. If your cage is too small because your bunny spends most of his time outside the cage, the cage can be covered to provide a soft bottom which will serve as a bed itself. Some good bedding materials are newspaper or untreated pine shaving.
