Hi, It is a beautiful day here and my ducks, geese and one chicken are outside enjoying it. It is just after 4:30 pm here, so they will all go in soon. I have had a mink around recently so my son and I watch closely. We just got 16 new ducklings - hatched Wednesday at Ideal in Texas - and arrived in Vermont on Thursday! These are all pullets, since we are a bit overrun by drakes - 7 drakes to 9 females. Ten of the babies are Cayugas, 2 are Khaki Campbells, 2 are Blue Swedish, and 2 are Black Swedish. I attached a picture. I will be taking more - lots more! Hope everyone is over the flu now. I (knock on wood) have not caught it yet! Gloria |

Hi Gloria, what beautiful little babies you have...I am sooooo jealous. I miss holding baby ducklings. They are just precious but unfortunately, they grow so quickly. Please feel free to share tons of pics with us. I have a 7 year old Black Swede, Grey/Silver Blue Swede and a Brown and White Khaki Campbell. The Blue Swede is a male and he is a good sized duck and a beauty. Thanks so much for sharing. Hugs Michelle |

I think that baby ducks by far are the cutest. I have 16 right now that are growing fast. I hope to have them all sold. I also have a few hens on eggs right now so more to come soon. I think I havearound the 40 mark on fertile eggs right now and another 30 to 40 in the incubator ready to be turned on. Good luck with your babies. Goldy_ |
