Help!!
Things are not so great here. We had a huge Black Snake strangle one of our bantams the other night. Then there was one small enough to get through the chicken wire but big enough to reach up to the perches. What do I do to keep them out?

Guienas and Peacocks are supposed to hate snakes, maybe adding to the flock might help?  Good luck and sorry for your loss.

Hi Kati, so sorry for your loss.  I was hoping someone would pop in with an answer because I did not know what to tell you.  I hope you are able to catch/kill that snake before it harms anymore of your poultry.  Thanks Melissa for your suggestions.

Thanks Melissa and Michelle. We have one guinea and of course he was in the house with the bigger chickens. We do have two peafowl but they have their own house too. Maybe a little more mixing would help if we can figure out how not to have that brave little rooster attack the bigger one!
