The best accepted ducks and drakes (stone skipping) record is 24 skips (including both plinkers and pitty-pats) by Warren Klope, 20 of Troy, Michigan, with a 4 inch thin flat limestone at the annual Mackinac Island, Michigan, stone-skipping tournament on July 5, 1975
