I'd love to have ducks here, but we would have to build them a fully caged area, just too many predators right now(on the ground and in the air)   They are way too much work for me right now anyway, maybe if there were only two of them!! My two year old and his friends just LOVE the ducklings, after we put the ducks to 'beddy time' the kids were running around quacking (more like little peeps) and flapping their arms!!! Everytime i talk to the moms and they tell their little ones who they are on the phone with, they start quacking and saying "mommy let go see the duckies" over and over and over! So maybe they will be buying some ducklings soon!!! I created an album and added a few pictures of my chicks and the quail chicks i hatch for a nieghboor. She raises some for a local Eagle and Falcon conservation farm. I know, I know poor little quails, but once you see the magnificient predators up close, it seems like such a nobal sacrifice on the quails part! I will post some pics of the conservation farm when we go for a visit soon, these large birds are so amazing and beautiful that I always forget to take pictures!
