Sorry Terry ~ I have cancelled my Multiply membership.  I have found a better forum on Aimoo for my group.  You can migrate your group (as with Multiply) and it has an integral chat room.  It is far more controlable and, if you would like to check it out, have a look at my site.

Its at a very early stage with no members at the moment.

Same here today with Aimoo Miriam..............

Also can't get into Multiply......... Get this error

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

The proxy server could not handle the request GET /.

Reason: Could not connect to remote machine: Connection refused.

All very technical isn't it.

Will we find a reliable  New Home?

If you change your mind with Yuku, apparently its difficult to cancel anything.  I am sticking with Aimoo I think.

I definitely don't like Multiply - I got a headache trying to use that

Let me know what everyone decides

Another point in Aimoo's favour is that you can transfer your MSN group so nothing will be lost.

  • Move MSN Groups

    to Aimoo
Got headache from finding a new home for your MSN Groups!?
Moving MSN Groups Archive to Aimoo today! You need to do nothing, leave it to us! AimooBots will crawl all your MSN archived pages and combining with your new Aimoo forum for free!

Create a new home and move MSN Group today!

Tips you should know before moving
    1. MSN Groups must be free to access without any authorizations so AimooBots can crawl your archive pages. Once you agree to move MSN Groups, all your Groups public pages will be crawled to our Aimoo database. Aimoo don’t take care of those private pages including calendar or personal documents pages.

    2. All your MSN Groups functions will be disabled in our new Aimoo MSN Groups archive pages. Enjoying our new features in your Aimoo new home with your moving MSN Groups members.

    3. MSN Groups pages will stay the same and be kept the time you applied moving regardless of any changes afterwards.

    4. No matter MSN Groups is closed; your Groups here will be kept forever unless you ask to remove yourself.

    How it works?

Step1, create your Aimoo forum firstly, then go to your forum control panel, click the link “Moving MSN Groups?in the left menu.

Step 2, Your moving MSN Groups url,( http://Groups.MSN.com/domainname/) & Groups Name are needed there.

Step3, After applying to move, you need to wait for another 7 days for processing.

Step4, After Aimoo crawling your pages and setting up your new MSN home archive pages with us, your Groups will look like this:

During the process of moving MSN Groups to Aimoo, pay a vist to Aimoo's Feature list and FAQ which may help you out on your fresh new home.

If you have any questions, contact us at Support Forum or via [email protected]. We are always there to help and guide you to move MSN Groups.

As I have heard from other people fewest problems are with Yuku so far. Doesn´t mean Aimoo might not get rid of all these start difficulties. Same for Multiply.
I am leaving for Sydney/Australia on 10th December and won´t be back till 3rd of March. I will have access to a computer, but being with my daughter, my son-in-law and my two little grand-daughters I will not use it much. I won´t be of any help with transfering or creating our new Garden. So I will accept any decision you all are coming up with.
Terry, you are our "oldest" member. In my opinion you should have the final say about where to move.
Miriam

Hi All..
Although I've been around here for a long time, I can't  admit to be the most active manager.

I believe it would be better to accept the majority decision  as to where we migrate the Garden Of Babble-On  to..
I will be happy wherever  it is as long as we keep in touch.

Before we move , how do you feel about going through the members list? Although  we have 56 members many have not visited for years.

Wow Miriam , it is good to hear that you are flying South to warmer climes. It will be a nice break from alpine winters with wonderful bonus of spending  time  with your family.

Have A Great Time.

Terry

Hi Terry

I am happy to go along with what the majority decide on where to make our new home, apart from Multiply (that site doesn't seem very secure to me and I don't like the way it sends me all over the place LOL)

I agree we should go through the members list before we transfer to a new home.

Just a quick note about my Forum on Aimoo..... The more time I spend on it, setting things up etc., the more I like it.  I have now upgraded the group to a diamond group so you should be able to post your images now Terry.  Whatever happens to the Garden, I hope you will say a member of Summer & Friends.  I would love others to join me there too.
