Did you know the fabric softner and the dryer sheets cause a coating on the screen of your dryer lint trap? Check for yourself. Take your lint trap to the sink and run water over the screen. If it hasn't been washed recently the water will pool and not run through. Wash with dish detergent and I use a nail brush to scrub the screen. When the water can run through the screen the air of the dryer can pass through also, thus saving electricity and drying time which will save some of your hard earned money.

Yea know, I read this when it was posted. I then got up and took my dryer lint trap out and ran water thru it....it flowed right thru, lol. I have used dryer sheets every dry cycle for almost eight years....wonder why mine doesn't have a build up.
