Welcome to the cyber-cottage of Shayleah Greenwitch! I am a kitchen witch and domestic goddess who is deeply committed to honouring the mundane in daily life. Although we typically think of the "mundane" as being routine, boring, everyday life and separate from the realm of the sacred, the word mundane actually means "of the earth." To me, the earth is the living manifestation of the Goddess and all of Her creations are sacred.
I believe that it does not take a lot of time, energy, or money to create a richly satisfying spiritual practice and daily consciousness of the Goddess. All of us have to prepare meals, sweep floors, do laundry, and other chores. If we can see these activities as opportunities for personal growth, healing, spellwork, and communion with the Goddess then we truly can transform drudgery into domestic bliss.
A few years ago I began to gather together a collection of practical knowledge and simple tools for honouring the mundane that can be easily integrated into daily life, which I compiled into my very own Kitchen Witch's Book of Shadows. These ideas are gathered from many sources and all of them have served to enhance my spiritual journey. My purpose in creating this website is to share this information with other seekers who wish to sprinkle a little more magick into their daily round.
And so I invite you to brew yourself a cup of tea, cozy up with a blanket or a favourite pet, and peruse the pages of my Kitchen Witch's Book of Shadows.
