Aging is the one thing that most of us want to prevent, unless
of course you are a teenager and can't wait to get older. But...
for the rest of us, the first thing that is noticed when people
look at us is of course...our face. Here's a fun little quiz I
found to determine if your skin is "looking good," or if the skin
doesn't match the age...Look in the mirror and decide how your
skin and age fare....Add the points that represent your skin...
Freckling, small, light splotches... (1 point)
Dry Patches on cheeks... (1 point)
Dull, salow complexion, lack of rosiness or a glow... (2 points)
Fine lines around the eyes and corners of the mouth...(3 points)
Enlarged pores on nose and cheeks....(3 points)
Large, dark sun splotches.... (8 points)
Deep Furrows in brow and the nasal labial fold...(8 points)
Sagging skin along jawline and near eyelids... (14 points)
Okee Dokee...Here are the scores and what they mean...
1-2 points...No doubt, you skin is in its early 20's. You've taken
some precautions regarding sun and if you continue to take care of
your skin diligently, your skin will stay younger looking than your
age...
3-7 points...Your skin is in its early to mid 30's. Getting serious
about skin care and sun protection can delay aging for years and years...
8-13 points...Your skin is in its late 30's to early 40's. Over the counter
treatments can be beneficial in removing most of the skin damage...
14-19 points...Your skin is in its late 40's to early 50's. Prescription
creams can improve the skin's health...
20 points or more...Your skin is in its late 50's or older. Over the counter
treatments will give you results, but prescription creams are probably more
likely to do better for you.
Keep this in mind...If your skin's age is years older than your chronological
age, consider lifestyle habits that may be adding to the aging such as smoking,
excessive drinking, sun exposure, lack of drinking water, and poor diet.
Changing some of those habits can also make a difference...
