Uh oh! I missed the deadline 
I love candle magick! I also love fire magick as most of you know ;-). I love that candle and fire magicks can go hand in hand or separately as I have been known to use a combination when needed lol. I use a color choice in candle then use the flame as a scrying tool. Sometimes it isn't so much the color as the smell. Sometimes it just needs to be a regular candle without either color or smell. Each ritual is different.
Let's see... I don't have time to do a whole thing on Candle Magick, but I will say that my favorite story is of a woman who wanted a love in her life. She was getting ready to take a trip abroad and realized that she wanted someone to share it with.
I explained to her that she needed to keep the request straight forward and not name names as that would take away anothers choice. Then I told her to get one pink candle, one white candle, and one green candle. The white was for perfect spiritual energy, the pink for unconditional love and the green for a healthy and productive relationship.
She was very skeptical but was really lonely so she decided to try it.
I asked her to put the candles in her window (to attract as well as give free flow) and start each new day by lighting the candles. This would be significant as she was looking for a "new" love, and a "new" life so to speak. I suggested that she start with the waxing moon to bring love to her. She was to think of what she wanted in a love as she was lighting the candles.
She said she felt somewhat foolish, but also kind of excited. She did this for six days and then left for her trip.
When she came back from her trip, it was to settle her affairs here in the states. She had met a man and was moving to his country to be his wife. She had never been happier and was glowing!
The one thing I will say about Magick of any type is that one must be focused on the desired outcome. Putting one's energy into the spell or ritual is paramount to a successful outcome.
