When I was told, many years ago, that I would probably die very soon, I was frustrated. I couldn't die; I had too much to do. I had a family that needed me and I just didn't have the time to die!
I found this wonderful challenge that changed my view of things.
I am still here.
I hope it can help someone else as well.
Let me not pray to be sheltered from the dangers,
But to be fearless in facing them.
Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain,
But for the heart to conquer it.
Let me not look for allies in lifes battlefield,
But to my own strength.
Let me not crave in anxious fear to be saved,
But hope for the patience to win my freedom!
