~*~ FAERIES YULE EVE ~*~
The grandfather clock in the hall strikes seven
Tis time for children to go to bed
The firelight flickers on the fireside rug
Where the sleepy old dog has laid his head.
The Yule tree adorns the room
With tinsel and stars and candles ashine,
The smells of spices and sugary treats
Filling the home with promise divine;
Slowly she climbs the winding stairs
With flickering candle in her hand
Her Teddy and Dolly for company
And faeries to carry her to Dreamland.
The wonder of Yule is in her heart
She only wishes that she could stay
And watch for Santa from Far-away-Land
And hear the bells on his magical sleigh.
The faeries are flitting and twitting around
They are laughing and spinning with glee
For Santa is coming with their special treats
And his face in the window they see!
Goodnight, little princess, tucked up in your bed,
Dream sweetly till first morning light
For Santa has wonderful presents for you
That will fill your young heart with delight!
