To hear the pitter-patter of little feet…to see the sparkle in your baby's blue eyes?

These are some of the simple things in life that help to make a person feel complete. And like so many other folks, you have tried and tried…but have had no success.

by Sky

Well, you are not alone. Statistics show that in the United States?

Approximately 6.1 million women have difficulty conceiving or carrying a child to term. About 2.1 million married couples in the United States are infertile. Close to a third of infertility cases can be traced to causes in the male, nearly a third to causes in the female, and the remaining cases to unidentifiable problems or conditions.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that the incidence of infertility has not changed significantly in recent years. Even among fertile couples, the likelihood of conception in any given month is only about 20 percent, or one chance in five.

These statistics may be alarming but it's not necessary for you to lose sleep over numbers. In our latest focus, we'd like to share with you a superb collection of tips on the Feng Shui of fertility.

TIP 1 - Shar Chi From a Large Tree

For starters, learn to apply defensive or protective Feng Shui measures. You can begin by training your eye to recognize Poison Arrows in your environment.

Start at the front door of your home. Stand in the doorway facing outside and carefully survey your surroundings. Scrutinize all structures, whether big or small, natural or man-made. The purpose of this is exercise is to look for any Poison Arrows that may send Shar Chi in your direction.

Generally, a Poison Arrow is something sharp or angular that is pointed at you in a very hostile manner. The larger it is, the more threatening it can be. Some common Poison Arrows to look out for are arrowheads, beams, corners of buildings, pillars, pointed rooftops, etc. These generate a lot of Shar Chi or killing breath, which destroys your good luck and sends lots of negative energy your way

Check to see if any of the Poison Arrows mentioned above are directing Shar Chi at your door. Sometimes, this may even take the form of a large tree less than ten feet away. If there is one, then you must try to shield it or block it off from view. Otherwise, it's best to move out of the house altogether.

By the way, it's very auspicious for you to have a mango tree in your garden, especially if it is laden with luscious fruits. As you might have already guessed, a treeful of succulent mangoes symbolizes many offspring.

Once you have fixed the problem of Poison Arrows hitting your front door (if any), you can log on next week for Tip 2, which teaches you how to apply a very potent Feng Shui formula for enhancing fertility.

Do you have problems conceiving? (II)

Tip 2

In the first issue of "Feng Shui for Fertility", I introduced you, potential Mums-to-be and Dads-to-be, to some defensive Feng Shui measures. After getting all the Poison Arrows out of the way, it is now time to put into practice some very powerful Formula Feng Shui. My next tip is a formula based on compass directions.

Activating Descendants Luck with the Eight Mansions

This potent tip comes from a School of Feng Shui that practitioners refer to as the Eight Mansions. To begin with, you have to determine your husband's Kua Number. You can get the formula for calculating the Kua Number from our latest update in the Eight Mansions School of Feng Shui.

After you have determined the Kua Number, refer to the table below for the Nien Yen direction. If arithmetic is not your forte, try out our Kua Calculator. (If you use the results from the Kua Calculator, then the Nien Yen direction would be the one indicated as the third best direction.)

THE HUSBAND'S KUA NUMBER
THE HUSBAND'S NIEN YEN DIRECTION/LOCATION
1
South
2
Northwest
3
Southeast
4
East
5
Northwest*
6
Southwest
7
Northeast
8
West
9
North

(*Note: This indicates the direction/location specifically for males with Kua Number 5 only. The correct direction/location for females with Kua Number 5 is West. For all other Kua Numbers, the same direction/location applies to both males and females.)

Next, you need to arm yourself with a compass. For this purpose, any ordinary compass is adequate, as long as it is in good working order. All directions referred to, in the above table, are the magnetic directions as indicated by any compass.

So, get your compass orientations right as soon as possible. If, need be, you might have to move your bed or even relocate your bedroom. I ensure you that it is worth your while.

I wish you lots of good descendants luck. Do write to inform me of your good news. I look forward to hearing from you.

Do You Have Problems Conceiving? (III)

With defensive Feng Shui and Compass Feng Shui taken care of, we shall venture into the intricacies of symbolic Feng Shui for fertility. There are many ways to apply symbolic Feng Shui as much as there are many symbols of fertility. A very potent symbol is the Dragon.

The Chinese have always regarded the celestial dragon as the ultimate symbol of good fortune, so it is always auspicious to display a dragon image. The Dragon is affiliated with the East, which is the place where the sun rises and where the spring rains originate. Hence, it stands for new beginnings.

In this issue, I will reveal to you some ways to tap into Dragon Chi to enhance Descendants Luck. In the olden days, among the Chinese, the continuance of the family line was of utmost significance. One was generally regarded as being extremely unfilial for being unable to produce an heir to ensure the continuance of the family name. Since, only males keep their surnames after marriage, it was very important to have male heirs.

In contemporary times like these, such customs are no longer practiced. But, we can always gain from putting into practice, their oft-used and exceptionally potent Feng Shui for fertility.

Tip 3 - Tapping into Dragon Chi to Enhance Descendants Luck

I'd like to share a traditional Chinese wedding ritual with you. Get a young male virgin born in the year of the dragon to symbolically roll across your bed. Alternatively, he can also bounce on your bed to activate the energies. That is usually what energetic little boys end up doing anyway.

It is even better if the child is related to either one of you, which means you are getting good Descendants Luck from within your own family. This strengthens the representation of Descendants Luck, especially if the boy is related to the husband. The Chinese usually observe this fascinating ritual is on the wedding night itself. But it is never too late to try this.

Here's another way to tap into auspicious Dragon Chi. Place a small figurine or image of a dragon next to your bed to simulate precious yang energy.

If you decide to use a dragon figurine, make sure that the element and color of the material used to make the figurine harmonizes with the element of the living space you are energizing.

Use dragon figurines made from ceramic, porcelain, crystal or precious and semi-precious stones for energizing the Southwest and Northeast sectors. Some examples of good mediums used to make dragon figurines are aventurine and jade. But since figurines made of precious and semi-precious stones can be quite expensive, carved wooden dragons are also effective in simulating the presence of the dragon in your room. Wooden carved dragons, especially those that are painted green, are more suitable for the East and Southeast sectors.

If you enjoy wearing fine jewellery, then a great way to tap into dragon chi would be to get an auspicious ornament which incorporates the design of a lively Chinese dragon. The dragon creates so much auspicious chi that you will enjoy a huge dose of good luck.

So let the powerful Yang Dragon help to bring the joy of healthy, happy children into your home. Coming up next is Tip 4, which explores the auspicious Feng Shui of good fortune fruit as a symbol of fertility.

Tip4 : The Feng Shui of Good Fortune Fruit for Fertility

Symbols of good fortune fruit for fertility manifest the positive aspects of descendants' Chi within your living space. In this issue, you will discover how you can use these auspicious fruits to decorate your home and embellish the wonderful energy of descendants' luck. These good fortune fruits may be displayed lavishly, in fruit bowls or as images in paintings or even as carvings. The best part about good fortune fruits is that these are Feng Shui symbols that you can eat.

Pomegranate

The pomegranate is a wonderfully auspicious fruit. An average fruit is slightly bigger than a baseball, it comes in various Yang shades ranging from yellows to reds. When opened up, it reveals plenty of sweet, fleshy seeds. This symbolizes the luck of many offspring, which is why the pomegranate fruit is regarded as a symbol of fertility. It is said to create the kind of descendants' luck that gives you many sons, all filial and respectable, with a successful future ahead of them.

The auspicious pomegranate also symbolizes a happy family that is blessed with good and filial children who will each grow up to bring honor and glory to the family. When a mother eats a pomegranate fruit during the New Year, it is said that she can expect to give birth to sons during the course of the year.

Many Chinese parents advise their young newly-wed second generation to display a painting or a carving of a pomegranate in their bedroom to create the luck of having many healthy children.

Lichee

A Chinese riddle goes like this, "Red cloth wrapped around white cloth, white cloth wrapped around a black globe. What is it?" The answer: the lichee.

The lichee is a deliciously juicy fruit with bright red skin. Similar to a large strawberry in shape and size, the red skin peels away easily to reveal opaque white flesh. A single black seed lies within.

When the lichee is drawn with the longan, it is reputed to signify a marriage union that is blessed with clever descendants. Young married women are encouraged to eat the lichee fruit to create this kind of luck for themselves. Paintings of auspicious fruits should always include the lichee.

Longan

Slightly smaller than a lichee, the longan is a rounded fruit with an olive brown shell. Delightfully thirst-quenching, its opaque flesh is sweet and juicy. The longan also has a single black seed. The Chinese (Cantonese) characters for longan can be literally translated to mean dragon's eyes.

When depicted with the lichee, the longan is reputed to signify a successful and fruitful union that is blessed with many bright children. For this reason, young married women are advised to eat the longan fruit to enhance their own fertility luck.

Lotus Seeds (Lin Chee)

Similar in size and appearance to large peanuts, the lotus seed signifies auspicious offspring luck. It is always featured in the dishes of a Chinese wedding dinner, especially in the dessert or sweetmeats.

Lin Chee or the seed of the lotus is an excellent symbol of descendants' luck. Consuming and displaying lotus seeds in the home is said to enhance and speed up the arrival of grandchildren.

Water Chestnuts

Approximately the size of a ping-pong ball, water chestnuts have a thin black skin. The water chestnut is a rounded flattish bulb rather than a fruit. Its sweet white flesh is firm to the touch and crisp to the bite. According to Feng Shui principles, it is auspicious to hang a painting of good fortune fruits in the dining room. So when water chestnuts are displayed together with the lichee, they denote clever children in the family.

Make liberal use of all these good fortune fruits to energize the Chi of good descendants' luck. You will soon discover the potency of the Feng Shui of good fortune fruit for fertility. The most enjoyable part is, of course, eating your tasty Feng Shui symbols. Have fun with your edible Feng Shui for fertility!
