Growing Potatoes in a barrel
1, add a layer of garden compost and loam based compost about 4" deep.
2, Place 4-5 seed potatoes on top, then add another layer of soil. In a few weeks, shoots will apear.
3, Once these shoots are 6-8" tall, add more soil so just their tips show. Water well and continue to cover shoots when they reach 6" above the soil.
4, Once the soil has reached the top of the bin, allow the shoots to grow. Harvest the potatoes after flowering.
