Hello everyone!!! Yes-I am very happy-happy-happy!!!! Matt and I are doing very well! Last night was awesome--just incredibly awesome, Christmas Eve was nice, too--I didn't really see much of him on Christmas day because he had to work, but he did like his breakfast in bed, and he did make me dinner when he got home from work--so it wasn't uneventful!!! He's a great cook, too. He's so sweet-and kind, and caring--omg--we are both so lucky to have found each other! He's so incredible--I really love him--it's wonderful!!! Oh and we fight--lol!!! Not a lot--but we do have our disagreements now and then--and it's so invigorating to just feel alive! I love his two cats--Hermione and Sparrow, they're both part Maine Coone Cat--by Mione looks it, Sparrow on the other hand is this delicate, skittish, flighty black cat--and she really is the boss--she just lets Mione think she's the princess--Matt was actually impressed that I understand that Sparrow's the real boss of the place--it's so funny to watch her put Mione in her place once a day! Matt wants to find a house soon, too. He's tired of the crappy apartment complex and their refusal to fix things-plus he wants more space for us! Our living room ceiling is falling in and leaking everytime it rains (or the snow melts) it's been like this since November 24--before Thanks Giving, and the handyman/employee that was supposed to come back never did--he moved out and quit!! Then earlier this month they 'lost' our rent check, and just found it last week--grrr!!! Right in the deposit bag, but the full-time employee didn't bother to look at all for it, the part-time girl looked in the desk and went through the deposit bags and found it in less than 5 minutes--and wrote up a receipt for the first of the month, the other lady told Matt that he'd have to write a new one and put a stop payment on the original, and he was prepared to do that--but decided to see if it had 'turned up' or not--oh this place is insane!!! Matt has told me how much happier he has been since we've been together, and how it's been so long since he's ever really been this happy--11 years, his girlfriend died 11 years ago today, and I'm really the first person he's really truly loved since her--and that really is special. He doesn't celebrate holidays--at least not xmas, but he does celebrate Halloween and being a Detroiter of course Devil's Night!!! Oh, and we're going to Grand Rapids for Valentine's Weekend, we've got a concert on Feb. 13th (Friday the 13th--one of my favorite days--lol!) to see HIS favorite band, Motley Crue--which I do feel very special to be the one he's sharing this with--he usually goes with his brother or another of his buddies--but he's taking me--ME!! I am so geeked!!! I've always wanted to see them live--and now I get to!!! But--it's with Matt--and that's a million times more special!!! Well, I must get going for now--hope you all have a great weekend, and that the New Year brings each and everyone great and wonderful things--I think mine's going to be an even better year than this one has turned out to be!!!
