We all know that bought cut flowers last longer with the plant food that usually comes with the bouquet, but did you know you can preserve the flowers you cut from your own garden?
The first method is to pour flat lemonade into the vase and top up with water. Then cut your stems diagonally before placing into your vase.
The second method is to add a teaspoon of sugar to warm water, stir until the sugar is disolved. Then pour into your vase and top up with cold water. Again, you cut the stems of the flowers diagonally before placing into the vase.
I have had some really good results with both these methods!
Good Luck!
