This poncho features a generous cowl neck that can double as a hood.

To make as shown:

YARN:  3 Skeins Homespun, 7 Skeins Incredible

To make both halves the same, double the required amounts of yarn.

HOOKS: K for the Homespun, N for the Incredible, CHECK GAUGE

9 dc + 5 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] with Homespun on smaller hook.

With smaller hook and Homespun, ch 26. <o:p></o:p>

Row 1 Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across; turn �?24 dc. <o:p></o:p>

Row 2 Ch 3, dc in each dc across; turn. <o:p></o:p>

Row 3 Ch 3, dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc, (dc in next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc) 3 times; turn �?28 dc. <o:p></o:p>

Row 4 Ch 3, dc in next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, (dc in next 6 dc, 2 dc in next dc) 3 times; turn �?32 dc. <o:p></o:p>

Row 5 Ch 3, dc in next 6 dc, 2 dc in next dc, (dc in next 7 dc, 2 dc in next dc) 3 times; turn �?36 dc. <o:p></o:p>

Rows 6-30 Continue in established pattern, increasing 4 stitches each row. At the end of Row 30, you will have 136 dc. <o:p></o:p>

With smaller hook, attach Homespun with slip st to first ch on opposite side of starting ch. <o:p></o:p>

Row 1 Ch 3, dc in next 6 ch, 2 dc in next ch, (dc in next 7 ch, 2 dc in next ch) twice; turn �?27 dc. <o:p></o:p>

Rows 2-4 Ch 3, dc in each dc across; turn. <o:p></o:p>

Row 5 Ch 3, dc in same st as ch-3, dc in next 8 dc, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 8 dc) twice; turn �?30 dc. <o:p></o:p>

Rows 6-8 Ch 3, dc in each dc across; turn. <o:p></o:p>

NIGHT HALF <o:p></o:p>

With larger hook and Incredible, work as for Day Half with the following changes: <o:p></o:p>

Add one even row (no increases) after Rows 12 and 22 so that Night half has 33 rows total instead of 31. <o:p></o:p>

Add one more even row at end of Cowl so that Night neck has 17 rows total instead of 16. <o:p></o:p>

ASSEMBLY <o:p></o:p>

Cowl Neck Holding wrong sides together and working on right side, sew Cowl seams (joining Day half to Night half). <o:p></o:p>

Back Seam Turn piece inside out so right sides are together. Working on wrong side, sew seam from neck to bottom edge. <o:p></o:p>

Front Seam/Opening For front seam, sew first 7 rows from neck down. Fasten off, leaving remaining edges unsewn
