In Shadow Witchcraft, there is a perfect balance of light and dark magicks.
For example, hexes, say joe brown has done something to me thats unforgiveable and i wish to retaliate by hexing him. first off, its not just a hex, its a warning which truly doesnt cause him harm but gives him a swift kick in the pants (like a justice spell) and then u cast a healing and a binding spell to heal the rift of his act and bind him from causing you further harm. that keeps the dark magick you released in balance. you have done good to balance out your wrong. it is not our place to "punish" another but we can give the gods a little "push" to make them aware of the situation.
u dont have to be just good or evil with shadow witchcraft. its all about whats in the heart of the witch because magick is neither black nor white. you can do good with evil in your heart. say u cast a spell that causes harm to another, even if unintentional, as long as you keep the balance of light and dark, you wont have a as bad reaction from karma. my nante, (my grandmother) says that "the magick of the shadows is the realm where few will tread. your shadows in your life, the dark enrrgy that messes things up for you, can be channeled and used for good. as long as you keep a balance between the light and the dark. keep this balance and the magicks will bless you."
i worship the dark and light aspects of the gods like aphrodite and anubis; love and death. they go hand in hand. for without love, their can be no life and without life, there is no death and without death, their is no rebirth as the cycle continues in that fashion. love is as constant as is death. their both sides of the light and dark aspects; goddess and god; lady and lord.
