It is little-known today, but during the last years of the Iran-Iraq War the United States deployed a significant military force to the Persian Gulf with the intention of protecting oil tankers. This mission quickly became a naval quasi-war with Iran and resulted in the largest surface-air naval battle in world history since WW2.

I have written a book about these events and you can read the prologue and see a photo gallery here. www.insidethedangerzone.com. The book is for sale at all online outlets and many "brick and mortar" locations. The title is Inside the Danger Zone and it is published by Naval Institute Press.

I am sorry, but are you making a historical point or pedalling your grubby wares?
My highly rated tome,

Was a smash hit with the Virgiania Police Vice Department; in fact I have been told a few interviews are outstanding, but I feel no need to force myself onto other peoples' website to publicise it.
