Hobbes, amigo, wrong is wrong regardless of side is not true.  Because, the definition of wrong is left up to each side.  In closing let me just say "Gott Mit Uns."

"God With Us", Lew? Ah, I think I see your point, as in our god is better than your god. Correct me if I'm wrong. Our world has always been cast in shades of gray, the lines of absolutism blur to indistinction. Morality down through history has always been relative to cultural bias.

The Templar's had several mottps, the two favorites being "God Wills It" and, after the siege of Acre, "Fresh Meat.'

Remeber this one Mein ehre ist truhe" from Hitler Youth.
Spelling may be off, my neice has my honor blade so I can't check.

Got it slightly wrong
"Mein Ehre heist treu" according to Google. But it is Waffen SS
I was using the plural,"unsere" Ehren heissen treuen "our" being more generous,

"God wills it" is Deus Vult. Got a feeling that's old French as Latin would be Volet.
Or does that mean stole? As in voler in French. Too late.

it is etched into the blade of my Hitler Youth knife. It was their motto before the SS was formed.

There are a lot of dodgy Hitler Youth knives around. has yours got "Yamaguchi Brothersmade(sic) in Tokyo finest quality zinc steel, guaranteed not to rust do not expose to naked flame?" engraved in the fuller?

If by any chance you are right, I apologise. Not abjectly, nor sincerely (even already) but formally.

The only markings on the blade are the Motto, Solingen, and some pits where the blood was not cleaned properly after use.

Um. A propos of nothing, did you read the thread where I mentioned -just casually - my blood group is A-?
Yes, you have the quality type. My alleged #31 looks like a PBA/Sunday forgery to me.

My clan crest has the Latin motto-

 Aio, quantitas magna frumentorum est

which we always took to mean-

Screw'em, steal their cattle.

REDNECK of that ILK

"Oh, what a great quantity has ripened"
Is the nearest I can get. This obviously refers to the Redneckca still, "A Masterpiece of chemical wizardry and total lack of any natural ingedient"

Our family crest says "Opima spolia". Have no idea what it means.
