the true reason for the pyramids
buils a structure that the strongest bow can not reach its height
make the structure this shape so archers from near its top can
see all sides of it
make the steps wide so defending archers have protection.
but none for the enimy below..  use the structure to store dried food and meat and water to out wait the enimy in the desert that
have only what they can carry. make the structure big so all
its people can be safe from the enimy. with this structure we can
store food water and arrows. while the enimy will only have what
they can carry. poison the water trolls in the city so the enimy
has no water when theres run out.  put covers over the wells
and burry them with sand so they can not be found by the enimy.
from the top of the pyramid archers have greater range with there bow. where there arrows will reach down at the enimy but the
enimys arrows can not reac the height of the structure.
the real reasons for the pyramid was for what you just read. and
a early warning system where from its top you can see more
then a days jurny from far on horse back.

At 59 years old I've never heard that theory before.
Were bows that powerful then?

Now,

My understanding is the Pyramid is a mausoleum for a Pharoah, and is orientated towards certain angles of the sun which pierces the walls of the pyramid and illuminates certain passages on certain dates.

A pyramid was a enormous expenditure of time and wealth.

OK, just the normal explanation.

IT SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD KBEE BUT THE PYRAMIDS NEVER HAD STEPS AND WERE SMOOTH ON THE OUTSIDE WHEN WHEN BUILT.
IF YOU JAMMED PEOPLE INSIDE YOU MIGHT MANAGE TO GET A COUPLE OF HUNDRED IN BUT THEN THERE WOULD BE NO ROOM FOR THE FOOD.

MP,

They built step pyramids before they built the ones at Giza.
