Jimbert, my buddy Jack Daniels (real name) & the guy I rode to the Canadian Rockies with (both on Gold Wings) had a Venture Royale.  Really nice touring bike with great handling.  My Gold Wing is an 1800 & his is a 1500 & was pulling a trailer.

This Yam had a filthy reputation for breakdowns, the 750 XS. triple contact breakers. It was for me the best of the few japs I've ridden. Big bike,The XS 850s were better.

They tried to make the "Bonneville beater" the XS 650 twin. Lousy handling, thirsty. useless,
