Wasn't he very anti Vietnam? I believe he featured a convict called Abbott, who had written to him about life behind bars.

 

He influenced Abbott's release and 6 weeks later Abbot murdered someone.

 

I think he also retracted his speculatioins that the CIA murdered Marilyn Monroe, not before it was accepted as gospel by the "CIA vs UFO school"

 

His only redeeming point in my opinion, if I'm allowed to bear one on this site,  is he was a nasty little t*rd who was backed by the right people.

 

But of course he was a L_I_B_E_R_A_L. Stabbing your wife at a party is just high jinks.

 

He did serve in the Phillipines but still got time off to marry in 1944.

 

Again, I think there is something wrong with a bloke who has to marry 6 women.
