All you Americans on this site are talking about Clinton and Obama with barely a word on the Republican candidates, whoever they are. It sounds to me like you've accepted that the Democrats are going to win. No attempt to raise the profile of the Republicans just slating the Democrats.

Tiger: Yes Kerrick is a problem.  The Mayor is not the only politician that has had a problem with associates.  How many of Clintons advisors, associates were charged and convicted. The number was in the 70's I believe.  Yet everyone tells me he was a great president.  Guilt by association?  I don't think he will win the nomination but I do think he is the only candidate that can beat Hillery hands down.

Back thank goodness, bad case of fingers pushing wrong keys.
As to the US elections as a neutral, I'm Canadian. I find the primary/cacus way of electing delegates to conventions that nominate a candidate confusing. The whole thing seems to be a case of a President maybe leader of the party or maybe no. At least we know that the PM is leader of the majority party, hopefully ! A case of different ways of doing work in different places.
My picks Democrats Obama , Clinton, Edwards
Republicans McCain, Huckerbee Guliani
And of course we all can end up being wrong.

VICBC YOUR FIRST ERROR, DON'T LET KNOW THAT YOU ARE CANADIAN. IT'S MUCH EASIER TO THROW ROCKS AT THEM AND THEIR SYSTEM IF THEY THINK YOU ARE JUST ANOTHER ONE OF THEM. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS WHOLE AMERICAN ELECTION THING IS THAT IT'S BEEN GOING ON FAR TOO LONG ALREADY.
WHO CARES WHO GETS IN. NOTHING WILL CHANCE, IT NEVER DOES. IT WILL STILL BE LIKE SLEEPING WITH AN ELEPHANT BY JUST LIVING NEXT DOOR TO THEM.
THEIR BEST PAST AND PRESENT STATE AND FEDERAL LEADERS HAVE ALL BEEN MEMBERS OF THE ACTORS GUILD, SO WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU??
I SAY PUT ALL THE NAMES IN A HAT AND MAY THE LUCKIEST MAN/WOMAN WIN. THIS SPENDING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO GET INTO OFFICE IS NUTS. DON'T THEY KNOW HOW FAR THAT MONEY WOULD GO TOWARD SAVING THE WORLD'S BEAVER POPULATION.
WHEN THAT GOES, THEN WHERE WILL WE BE, EH!
THEY GO ON OR ACT LIKE ONCE A PERSON OR PARTY IS ELECTED THAT IT'S FOR LIFE INSTEAD OF ONLY FOUR YEARS. WHO KNOWS WHAT THE NEXT FOUR YEARS WILL BRING AND NO MATTER WHAT GROUP OR PERSON IS IN THEY WILL STILL HAVE TO FACE THESE NEW CHALLENGES.
WHAT THEY NEED IS A FOREIGNER RUNNING THE PLACE FOR A FEW TERMS, JUST TO GET THEM OFF THEIR KNEES AND BACK ON THEIR FEET.. KNOWING THIS THEMSELVES FOR YEARS THEY PUT IN SOME MICKEY MOUSE CLAUSE ABOUT HAVING TO BE BORN THERE TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT.
WHAT KIND OF REDNECK THINGING IS THAT?

EDWARDS VS MC CAIN IS HOW IT'S GOING TO GO DOWN.

Update on my previous message #23
Well looks like the Republicans have selected mr McCain, and now the Semocrats are tussling over Mrs Clinton or Mr Obama. Both would be firsts to hold the office of POTUS. I think he comes with less Washington attached baggae. Elect her and you get Bill and all the baggage that comes with him. Though I saw and I forget where a line that said Republicans couldn't wait for a Clinton victory just so they could investigate both of them. IMHO thats really dumb.
But I think the election in November will be a real contest no coronation.

The Clintons do come with baggage, Vic, that's true.  But Sen. Obama comes with Chicago baggage, and that might not be so good either.

And don't forget, Sen. McCain comes as another four years of Dubba. That can't be too good for the Republicans.

The omly similarities between Mac and Bush are their stances on the war, and they are both Republicans. Other than that they are night and day.

Kennedy came with Chicago baggage too.  If he didn't have all those dead people voting for him he would have lost the election.

Hobbs, T.C.  has been taken in by the political spin of the libtards.   How smart can he be anyway.  After all he migrated from Texas to Floriduh.

Mac and Bush talk the same to me.

Bush to me is still the best Western leader.
You tend to assess on likeability not respect. that is the weakness of democracy and why it should be abolished.
