Yes.
Harold Wilson started the fight against Rhodesia and South Africa because the Soviets wanted to expand into Angola and Mozamique.
Having already handed Aden over to the Commies, he couldn't go wrong.

In WW2 he was a coward hiding in the Board of Trade
Ian Smith the Rhodesian leader was a Spitfire pilot.

Zimbabwe is not sitting on vast reserves of oil therefore the West will not intervene. If we did we'd have to do the same with the other dictatorships around the world. Bad though things are Zimbabwe isn't the worst of them. And Mugabe is 84, nature will take it's course soon enough.

That is a terrible mess over there in Zimbabwe.  I rather hope nature will take its course sooner than later.

SO NOW THE BOTH OF YOU ARE WISHING BAD WEATHER ON THEM TOO??

THE AFRICAN UNION  SHOULD AT LEAST APPEAR THAT IT IS DOING SOMETHING.
MAYBE AT THEIR UP COMING MEETING IN CAIRO IT MIGHT BE MENTIONED. MUGABE WILL BE ATTENDING.
I WOULD SAY THAT SOON THE WEST WILL BE TURNING OFF THE MONEY TAPE.

Not a chance PBA. All they say is "give us money or our people starve"

LOOK

"While the West dismisses Mr Mugabe's continued rule as illegitimate and threatens full-scale UN sanctions, the African Union summit has been determinedly low key so far in its criticism of Mr Mugabe, still regarded as a liberation hero across much of the continent.

Sources in Sharm el-Sheikh said that AU leaders were divided between those who wanted the group to adopt a strong statement about Zimbabwe and those who were reluctant to censure him"

They love these big conferences, the booze, the whores (loads in Sharm el Shaikh). They want more meetings.

While we in London were kissing Algerian trained terrorist Mandela's a*se.

About six months ago I posted about a black Catholic Bishop who was begging GB to intercede militarily.   But the Brits are sitting this one out.
