2 January 1492 - Granada surrendered to the Spanish. The Moorish Kingdom of Granada was the last Muslim stronghold in western Europe. The Moors had been gradually ousted from Spain until by 1491 only the city of Granada remained. After a desultry siege in which the emphasis was on containment rather than assault King Muhammed XII agreed to surrender the city. This he did on 2 January 1492 when he was allowed to march out and go into exile in north Africa. |

Wrong Mark. In Andalusia, a variant of the shish kebab, known as Pinchos Morunos or Moorish sticks, is very popular, usually eaten during summer barbecues. These are usually made of pork or chicken meat or lamb. In the town of Melilla, beef meat is generally used. To this day the Moors hid in Andalusia weapon training and poisoning tourists uinder cover of vast chains of doner kebab shops. here is a rare picture of a Moor practising on a Giraffe Winkle kebab, notorious for its toxic and aphrodisiac properties. Note bacteria crawling up the centre of the knife blade. The deep fried Mars bar was invented as an antidote, hence the health and fitness of the Scots compared with the English. Ingredients Directions -
1Chill the chocolate bar by keeping it in the fridge, but don't freeze it. -
2Mix the flours and bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) together. -
3Add milk (traditional) or beer (which gives a lighter result) until you get a batter with the consistency of thin cream. -
4Heat the oil until a small piece of bread will brown in a few seconds, but don't allow to smoke. -
5Remove wrapper from chilled chocolate bar. -
6Coat completely in batter. -
7Carefully lower into hot oil and fry until golden brown. -
8Serve, with ice cream or french fries, if you're so inclined. It is best with french fries and a raw egg. |
