Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales is 60 today. He is the first Prince of Wales to reach that age.
His official 60th birthday photograph shows him the uniform of the Welsh Guards looking very Kingly.

They had him on the tv last night.  His mom  looks like she will outlive him and his son has a better chance of being king than he.

I'm just 3 months older than Charles, I like him, always have. Sad to say, I think Snow may be right.

Your right Mark, he did look like a proper King in that picture.

Mark,

I know the great majority of British Kings and Queens have ruled until the day they died, but, not counting Edward VIII, haven't there been monarchs who stepped down in favor of childern or brothers? What do you figure the odds are that the Queen will do something like that?

No British monarch has ever abdicated unless forced to do so. But I think the Queen could be the first. I expect that once she gets too old to perform the role as she does now she'll abdicate. She's 82 so it could be in the next four or five years. Also if her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh dies first, he's 87, she may well abdicate soon after.
I expect and hope that Charles will be King, but of course it won't be a long reign. On that subject there's talk that he'll take the title George VII (one of his names is George) rather than Charles III.

Sunday a Babe in the wood yes, credible. But PBA? he was tiny and hunchbacked from his infant life of vice at the age of 4.

As a Tank driver in the Canadian Armoured corps they put him straight into the Queen's Quasimodos, a secret troop designed to terrify the enemy by their looks.

Got the special Haemorroid Hunchback award.

They named that film Cool Hand Luke after him.

Not a pretty sight.  Need I paint a picture squire? nudge nudge.
