Has anyone ever studied or researched the stories of the 364th infantry regiment,
stationed at camp Van Dorn, Mississippi?

The 364th was an all black Reg.in Miss.
which wasn't the most friendly for any
black man in 1942.

cover story

The Mysterious 364th

Were members of a Mississippi-based black regiment, including soldiers from Philadelphia, gunned down in 1943 to silence their demands for equality? And were their killers fellow soldiers?

Is this what you're after?

So what's your point.

Well, are we supposed to drop on our knees?

We've got a bloke called Owl on site who teaches his students the word Pic-nic comes from "pick a nigger" (a word I'm not allowed to repeat) which was according to Owl a custom for Louisianans during a barbecue, and enliven the meal by taking a black and chopping him to pieces.

Now Owl tells us he teaches his students this.

What is your comment on that?

I personally don't care what Owl teaches
his students. All I'm after is a litte
info. on the second world war.

If you want to get down on your knees
that's your buisness, I would rather
remain on my feet, you never know what
you might catch while your down there.

We're not here to do your classroom assignments for you.
If I can find your stuff on Google, so can you.

OK Obie
We can be friends. You can read Google as well as we can. So what in addition can we tell you? Weapons? Conditions of service? Maybe some by-lines on the commanders?

i dont think anyone in the US is capable of covering up a massacre of 1000 men.

Just dont make sense.

what about the families? wives? friends? someone misses them somewhere, and someone saw something... no one would take something like that to their grave..

1000 men, means there was 3000 witnesses!

#15 Flashman does not apologise, merely makes a statement. Do not put words into his mouth.

To be honest there were riots between troops and locals two of which occurred in Texas around the time of WW1.  One in Houston and one in west Texas, both of which involved the troops of the 24th infantry that were stationed here.

I had a quick flick through Google.
There are no records to support 1,000 missing off the rolls.
But the guy who wrote about My Lai says there are inconsistencies in the evidence.
The Bn Clerk confirms this.
Now in a British Bn there are 10 clerks, and one per company. Total about 16.
Only 1 clerk is referred to here.

So I support TinMan. But of course you will all sayb 1,000 were killled. Because they were black.  A black man made the accusation. So proof is not necessary. B*gger the evidence. Happy Obie?
