That's the first time I've seen Louis called Ludovic, I have seen it spelt the Anglicized way before though, Lewis.
Where to start with Louis XIV and Louis XVI and the French Revolution, there's so much to say.

Hello, dalima, and welcome to History Page.  We'd be pleased to discuss French history with you.  As Mark said, there is so much to say about both Louis XIV and Louis XVI.  I probably know more about the revolutionaries than the king as regards Louis XVI, however.

Louis XIV was the king who was most responsible for sending French explorers and colonizers to Canada. He's the main reason that Quebec Province is as French as it is to this day.
