This is how long it took me to drive a 45minute drive tonight.
I dont know how you people can live down south with hurricanes. We are getting high winds(up to 65mph)from Hurricane Ike and i made it within 20mins of my house and had to turn around 2times b/c of downed trees and power lines.......
I was never so happy to pull into my driveway.I'm such a nervous wreck right now.I'm so happy to be home...........it sucked really bad.David was starting to freak out on me at 900pm b/c we should've been home and than by 930 i was getting worked up and when i finally pulled in at 950pm i was shaking when i got out..........it's nasty here i couldn't imagine what it was like to go through the hurricane.
Than David tried to call 911 to let them know about the trees across the road and after 30mins i told him to hang up..than never answered crazy!!!!

You aren't supposed to drive in that crap!! That's crazy that they didn't warn you all enough ahead of time and let you leave work early. That's just nuts!! Completely dangerous and just nuts.

I'm glad you are OK!

I was watching on the news tonight and the remnants of Ike are going to Canada! Wow, that is some long-lasting storm, eh?

What happened is David had scouts and the wind wasn't too bad so we went.
I dropped him off and went to my parents and it got bad.So i left and got David.By the time i got there it was already knocking down tree limbs so we left after the church last electric.......than all hell broke loose.
It was scarey and bad.Than i hit something and not sure what it was so i need to wash the trailblazer today before work..........it was horrible.I hope we never get weather like that again.Luckly there's no trees down around here, just branches and lots of leaves but no trees feel on our road.

Wow, I can't believe the devastation from Ike. I saw the people who died were not just in Texas but Pennsylvania, as well.
