I spend out in day care for just Dennis(when Kev's working)25.00 a day times that by 5........it equals to 125.00 and we pay biweekly which means that's 250.00 every 2 weeks for just Dennis.
When Kev's laid off Dennis goes to just preschool on Mon,Wed and Friday and it's 10.00 a day which is only 30.00 a week(I could handle 120.00 a month for day care)
Sierra goes to day care for an hour in the morning, once again when Kev's working, and that's 6.00 a day.......times 5 equals 30  week for her and once again we pay biweekly so that's 60.

I spend out $310.00 (when Kev's working)every 2weeks for day care that's 620.00 a month in just freaking day care.I spend out 5,490 a school year for just day care.I never really figured out how much we spent a month in child care services........it's horrible to think other than a bill or 2 i'm working to pay day care for my children..maybe it's time i relook at our bills to see if we could afford me to be a SAHM or work p/t until Dennis is in kindergarden..........

I hear you! This is EXACTLY why I was a stay at home mom, Jenn! I found night and weekend work so that we didn't have to do daycare and I worked only part time. It worked out better with daycare, with me being around more, with travel and work clothes, even. It had it's challenges being a "tag team" but it saved us a ton of money.

Also, I guess here we were kind of screwed because we only had one car. So there we saved on insurance, and of course didn't have two car payments. We really had no choice but to do it that way while we shared a car, but that's how we made it this far without living in a cardboard box!

I always tell my friends who have the young ones how much easier it is once they are all school aged!! Bug's son just got into Kindergarten this year and WOW, having that daycare burden lifted is such a huge difference!
