Dear CTG, We recently moved into one of those "swim/tennis" communities where residents are not supposed to leave their garbage containers in visible areas. Not only does my neighbor(with 6 kids) leave hers out, her trash constantly overflows - and on windy days, blows into the side of my house. Once, I tried to be diplomatic. I walked up to her and said, "We have an extra garbage container if you guys need one." Which in my opinion, should have been enough hint. Yesterday, I told my husband that I would like to put up a fence or plant some shrubs between their house and ours. He says, "You're just going to create some bad blood" So, what do you think I should do? I have thought about going to the man of the house and saying "Look, I'm tired of picking up your garbage, please do something" or getting the association involved. But they seem like really nice people and I don't want to snitch on them. Help fast! -t- |

Titinta,I would go to the man and tell him that his trash blows in your yard and would he please do something about it. If he doesn't do anything within a few days,I would go to the association and let them handle it. You have put out hints and been nice, try this one more time and if it doesn't work, then snitch all you want...lol I hope you see progress soon. |
