My sister, who is 3 years older than I am, constantly makes plans for my family.  When I had plans for my husband and I to do the concession stand for a ball game she said, "We can do it together so John and Jeremy (her husband) can stay home with the kids."  She then turns and crosses off John's name and puts hers!  Then she signs me up for another day!  It's upsetting my hubby because I don't want to hurt her feelings.  I try to stand up to her but she just gets mad at me.

Then she always compares our size.  I wear one size bigger than her.  I'm also 7 inches taller than her.  So when something doesn't fit she makes comments like "This is way too big for me!  Maybe you can squeeze into it."  It really makes me mad but she just laughs it off, saying that she didn't mean it that way.  I've had it!  Any advice on how to deal with my bossy sister without hurting her feelings?  If she gets mad at me she won't let her kids have anything to do with me.    Ridiculous but I put up with a lot for my nephews!

Oh Andrea,we sound so much alike. I have an older sister who does me the same way.It really hurts my feelings when she says the,"squeezing in" part. To be honest,I don't know what to do either. I put up with it just like you do and it gets us no where.
I tell ya what,we need to get a back bone and take a stand!!!  All she can do is get mad,she will get over it eventually. It won't take long and she will let the nephews come back to see you. First, tell her how it makes you feel and that it is affecting your hubby too. If she refuses to listen, take a different approach and be stern with her. Make sure you get your point across. I hope this helps some. I am gonna do the same thing to my sister. We can report back here and let each other know how it went..lol    Good luck!!
