Well, sorry haven't been around for a week. Our power has been out for 7 days. We had 301,000 out, and now still, on the 8th day, 75,000 are still without electric. When hurricane/tropical depression Ike came through the Ohio Valley, it collided with a cold air mass, and we had sustained winds of 50 mph, and peaked at 84 mph. This lasted 3 1/2 hours. We went to Target once our electric went out, and came home to a real mess. Had no idea it would have been so bad. Anyhoo. Thanks for not banning me, LOL! 10 |

10, how many times did you flip the light switches while your power was out? Hey, didn't the hum of the refrigerator sound marvelous when the power came back on? When we got our power back from Katrina, it was soooo exciting. Your daughter will have memories to tell her kids. |

Oh no, lol, you mean you went shopping at Target in the middle of all the bad weather? LOL LOL (just kidding!!!). The PIKE workers are staying at the airport Sheraton in Kentucky and working in Ohio. They're still there. I'm so sorry about no power for you, 10, but glad you're back. Everyone was asking and wondering about you. Seems ole Ike went up through the northern states spreading his damage. I hope your damage wasn't that bad, and so glad you're back!!!! |

Ladymars.......Every light in the house was on when we finally were restored, LOL! Blue, Pike is here too. Hopefully they can wrap up the rest of us soon and go home. We had no damage at our house, but many many more did. We were very lucky! |
