This isn't as eloquently worded as everyone else's but one wonderful memory I have is when me, my sisters, my mom and my dad would load up and go camping at Rough River.  My mom would always go and get coconut shampoo and conditioner for our trip.  Every time I smell it, I think of camping.

My mom told me of a memory of hers.  My great-grandfather, her grandfather, was blind.  She was about 7-8 years old at the time.  He used to sit in his old chair and let my mom climb up on his shoulders.  She said she would spend hours and hours on his shoulders brushing his hair.  It sounded so sweet!

It is amazing how the sense of smell can trigger  memories of faraway days of the past.
