John, my boyfriend, shipped out yesterday.  He left at about 8:00 last night and I haven't heard from him since.  I expected this but it's so hard to just wait.  He's going to Kuwait for a week and then will go to his base in Iraq.  He'll be there for about 40 weeks.  It doesn't sound as bad as almost a year, you know?  It's just depressing.  I have cried so many tears today!
