I am glad we are starting on this well before February, because it may take this old dog that long to learn the new tricks! How do you keep your last name from showing? I don't mind you ladies knowing it, but I really don't want it out there for just anyone. I did click on the option for only contacts, but there should be an option for no last name at all. I am the only one showing a last name, so it must be my error. Can anyone help? I am determined to learn this thing and then I am sure I will like it.
Pam

I had the same question on removing my last name.  I looked around and couldn't see a way to omit it.  Rosemary

Pam don't feel like you are alone, I can't figure it out either, but I am sure or at least I hope by February I will know what to do, so you are not alone, you have company.

Well here's my two cents. This is what MSN has replaced  us with. Now for me I HATE IT.. I can't figure out squat..It takes me forever and I am not spending 1-2 hours just to put something in and have no clue where to find it. I don't like the messages or the mail I don't like anything green eggs and ham Sam I am.
So don't bother to learn it because I'm not anymore I have spent so much of my time on this I am not giving it a minute more. I do not like Yuku either I spent 2 weeks on that . I have a few more to finish looking at and the easiest one that offers the most wins..
So if you want to sign up for multiply its your choice but know now I am not using it as Home Sweet Home..Diana

Diana, that was kind of a sad but humurous way to put it. I am so sorry you are having this problem and I sure do appreciate all of the extra effort you are putting in. I know that this site is a handful all by itself and now we are having this problem. I have been paying for msn for at least 9 years now. I really don't need it because I have verizon, so by the end of the year I am cancelling them just like they did the groups! I don't really care for yahoo groups, but is that a possibility?  How much trouble is it to have your own website? Pam

Pam,
I have looked into Yahoo, Google and lots lots more.
Yahoo is simple but won't be useful to us. All it is ,Is a message board which is great and albums for everyone to put their photos in which the usuage they give you to upload is way less than MSN gives so we wouldn't get half our pictures up. There are no pages to put our BOM or BOW or Dear Jane's etc. You wouldn't be able to go from page to page to view anything very limited.
I am looking into Our own website sometimes as the saying goes" you get what you pay for"!!.
I am taking a little break from this we have this site till Feb. So I will check things out here and there but I need to get back to catching up on my sewing ,housework  and family . I think they all feel left out these past few weeks .I am cooking Thanksgiving Dinner so I have to start planning and boy  I need to catch up on the dust bunnies,
I know we will have a home even if I have to pay for it . Right now I am checking all thats out there that is free and then if I can't find something we need but most of all easy user friendly than I'll take the next step.
I appreciate everyone's help and nice words it's very uplifting after spending an evening pulling out my hair..Diana

Go to the right-hand side of the page at the top and click on "My Account" (see my picture 1)
Then go to "My Information" (picture 2)
Here you can change your last name in anything you like
and click on oké.
Or you can put an v on "Hide my online status" and then click on oké.

Diana you can go to "Customize My Site" at the right site of the page (you as holder of the group) when you do that you can choose for "Choose a Theme" here are 28 different out-fits (when you pay you can make your own) here you can also add boxes (Add Tagged Content Box) where you can put Dj, DH, or other things.
There is a lot possible there we just have to learn how it works.

Thanks Carla, yes I know I can customize the site I looked at it already. I was working with Multiply what they set up for us already without changing the whole thing but its not working the last time I started that the site went crazy and we were lost.It took 2 1/2 weeks for Multiply to help fix and put us back up, they are not quick on problems which is a problem in itself. . When I rest up and get over my frustartion I will venture off into that fire pit. I just needed to get away from it for awhile, plus I really want to make it user friendly so our members can get around easy without scratching their head..Thanks for the help I appreciate it..Diana

I understand Diana take all the time you need it isn't easy there.
I had to get used also on multiply and still have problems with it sometimes there.
Yesterday there was an up-date and after that I can't post photo's anymore.
We haven't much choose I think, it is good we have time till February.
