Hi Carol,

A flimsy is a finished quilt top only.  We have done a fall flimsy swap where a quilter sends a favorite fabric to me and I swapped them out to a partner.  The partner then makes a table runner using the fave fabric along with coordinating fabric.  The top is sent back to the original fabric owner.  The owner then can choose to put a plain backing on it or make another runner the same size and make the project into a 2 sided runner.

 

The flimsy can be any size but for our swap we just did a table runner.  Hope this answers your question!

I did get mine a while back... just forgot to post.  Is there postal service tomorrow... with it being Veteran's Day?  I hope everyone gets their Flimsies soon.  I would have thought that it would only take a day or two to get them from point A to B, but it seems the post office is going a bit slow lately.

still waiting for my flimsy to show up....we didn't have mail for 2 days last week due to the snow storm here. This is the first day that UPS is running and Saturday was our first day for mail....winter is officially here.
