After yet another fruitless search for a tutorial that shows me how to upload things like brushes, gradients, masks, tubes, patterns to the psp programme, I played around and found that this way actually works.....

Save the zip files to a folder on your computer, mine are all in "My Pictures"

Go to "My Documents"  on your desktop, and find the folder with the zipped file.

Right click that zipped file, in the resulting drop down box, click "Open With" and for these, I use the WinRar one.  Click it and you will get another drop down box

With WinRar this will give a list of the gradients, etc and there is probably a way of doing them all in one go, but usually in these zip files, there may be a few I don't want, so I added them one at a time.

Right click on the name of the Gradient and you will get a drop down box.  Click "Extract to the specified folder"

You will now get a grid called "Extraction Path and Options" with a view window.  Look in that view window for "Local Disc C" and click that on the plus sign attached to it.

You will get a drop down, still in the view window, look for "Programme Files" and click the plus sign

Another drop down, look for "Jasc Software Inc" and click the plus sign

One more drop down, look for "PSP7" - hit the plus sign and in that drop down you will find the gradients, the brushes, patterns, tubes - the lot!!  Just then click on gradients if that is what you are uploading, and it is done.....................

Then you go to the next gradient in your zip file and do it all again.

Hi Joy

I had the same problem but I found it easier to open gradient/brush files etc. straight to WinRar. Then I do exacly the same as you
Look in that view window for "Local Disc C" and click that on the plus sign attached to it.

The files are  then permanently placed in my psp.

I'm sure there's an even easier way but as I get totally confused with all the technical bits I'll stick with what I know lol  I really do wish that they would put tuts in English lol
