Christmas Morning he started off in the Santa suit which Nancy had bought for him, but Barbara could not get him to keep the hat on, sadly...............and my suggestions of gluing cotton wool to his face for a beard, were not taken up "All that paper for me to tear up!" "This is all for me? Yayyyy!!!!" "Hmmm, I think Mum is as pleased with this musical octopus as I am"..... "I just need to inspect this tiny piece of wrapping paper"..... "Ok, I will wear the bow, but I will not wear the Santa hat" Junior Father Christmas with his daddy |

After he decided to wear his breakfast, Barbara bathed him and changed him, but he was demoted from Father Christmas (jnr) to an elf LOL.................it runs in the family.............(see last picture) "This is for me?" "Oh wow, I like this card!!" "I don't mind being an elf because my Nanny is an elf too" |

Boxing Day morning, we popped round on our way to Norwich. Hayden had just had his bottle of milk and was sleepy, he managed a few smiles before falling off to sleep.............. |

I find children adorable, especially when coated in sugar .....I eat jelly babies all the time, even forced Nancy/Zenith to eat some.........and a few more people here, if I recall correctly............ But with Hayden, we have all had the chance to see a baby grow from birth onwards, via these photos........ |

New Year's Day at my house, and at lunchtime, Hayden took his bottle of milk ok, but decided he would refuse his vegetables and gravy unless he was feeding himself, so Barbara took his clothes off him and we gave him the spoon and bowl, and watched. He kept getting the spoon upside down, and when we corrected it, he changed it back again, I suppose he was thinking, any fool can eat from a spoon when used the normal way.............. "Yes I know the spoon is upside down, but I like the challenge"... "I may have spilled a wee drop onto my bib or my face" "I think I may have carrots between my toes".... "The handle of the spoon tastes rather good" |

So of course, we had to give him a bath - which he loved! Normally he bathes with his daddy, which doesn't give him a lot of room for splashing about, but in my bath he had loads of room, and splashed around such a lot, when Blue tried to get in, Hayden thought that was so funny, unfortunately by that time, DH and his camera had disappeared............. And after the bath, he was wrapped in warm soft towels............ "All this room in the bath for me? Where is my swim ring?" "Mmmm, I like the taste of that soap, what did Nanny say it was? Pears?" "Lovely soft towels Nanny - did you hand-wash these too?" "My mummy is so pretty....." "I don't want to come out of these towels, ever"... |

But of course, he did have to come out of the towels, and once dried, powdered and dressed, he looked lovely............. "Where is that cat going?" "Oh I see, over there"............ "Something is tickling my head"........ "Can you see anything on my head?" "Something green? Where?" |

Then Hayden decided he had to bite his Daddy's knee, and with four teeth and two more about to pop through, he can be considered armed and dangerous.... "Must..........reach........knee" "Almost got it, I see you have been marinating your flesh with Guinness, yum...." "Mummy, I need more teeth, Daddy didn't even feel that bite"..... |
