I have seen pictures of them - they look exciting, and I will definitely feed them to DH when they are available in the shops  I don't actually like tomatoes, except the fried green ones Zenith cooks, or the tinned plum tomatoes warmed through on the hob top, for breakfast. |

Purple tomatoes???? *shaking head* First there was pluots, then brocciflour, then blue corn.....and now purple tomatoes.  |

I actually ate purple tomatoes this year. My friend Carol grew some and gave them to me. They do not look good...but they taste thae same as a red tomato. I* ate the two she gave me and they were pretty good. |

LOL - I just realised, I meant to say to Nancy............... "....Fine!!! , you will eat purple tomatoes, but you will spend days pondering whether to eat the wobbly jelly cubes I sent to you, you will spend days checking out the ingredients with your local chemist shop, and then send off samples to be analysed, before you make up the jelly, and then test it first on the neighbours you don't like, then make Eric eat some, before you will then eat it.............but you will eat purple tomatoes without even a toxoligy report? Hmph....  " ...... |

During the gardenin' season that's how I store mine round here ta keep the critters away.
And when my socks get full of maters I starts shovenin' `em down my underwear.
Caint say I've ever pulled any purple maters outta my skivvies yet though. |
