It seems Aimoo has fixed that problem with the delay message thingy, and I have been able to get into two of the three groups which have moved over, but for some reason, I cannot get into our group there, even though I saved the opening page to my Favourites.

Now it takes me to a page which asks me where I want to go.........I type in the name of our group, which is The Over 50s Group, is it not? and it tells me there is no such group!  So at the moment, I am unable to get into the Aimoo group

Tsk tsk tsk - did you all run away and hide again whilst I was indisposed?  I mean, I go away for a week in London, and get back and find that you have gone and let those nasty bullies at msn threaten to close groups................then I go away to Scotland and get back and find that you have allowed Aimoo to unleash a glitch (are they licenced for the keeping of glitches?) and now, I have a day off sick, and you all hide the new group.......................you know, some people may get paranoid about that - LOL

Nice pics LJ.

Yer catching what the pro photogs call the magic hour of photography.

The first half hour after the sun rises and the last 30 minutes before it sets.

Lovely pictures LJ - and yet another one of yours which I have now "borrowed"

NancyNC - I think that a lot of people thought all posting problems would end when they left msn, but as you can see, it is the same everywhere - at least the Aimoo people seem a bit quicker off the mark to correct things.

I think that Aimoo were just not prepared for the volume of people moving over to them and for a while, there will be teething problems, but as long as we have JB and Lesley, both of whom seem to have become such whizzes on Aimoo procedure! I think we will always have help.

LOL - if you thought I ranted, you should see the rant from a bloke in another group, because of the recent delay in posting episode................I wish I could copy and paste it over, but that would not be ethical, so I won't, but suffice to say he was threatening to quit, move to Yuku and all other things.............none of which he did.

I agree with you Joy about aimoo having problems with all the msn groups moving over. It is still better to me than yuku, much easier to navigate, and change things around. I thought about starting a trial group on yuku for my old msn group to see if they might like it better than aimoo, but not sure whether to go to the bother or not. Seems I worked awfully hard on our old one and NO ONE is coming in or showing interest.
Let's hope that all is taken care of soon and we can get to where we is a gotta go! lol

I can't believe that I forgot to mention the beautiful pics LJ. They are really pretty sunsets and you did a great job taking them.

NancyNC - I would not even bother with Yuku if it was me - I just do not like the set up there, and it is not as easy as Aimoo.  Actually, until Lesley and JB worked their magic on Aimoo, I had only seen one group set up in Aimoo (another  has now followed).............and they had not made a good job of things, so it was so much harder to negotiate, which did, I admit, colour my opinion of Aimoo.

However, once I saw what Lesley and JB had done, I changed my mind.........Aimoo is a lot easier to follow thatn what I had thought, and of course, they will have their problems, they ALL will, because none of them were or are, prepared for the volume of people moving from msn, but a lot will depend on how these forums handle the problems, and I have to say, Aimoo do seem much quicker off the mark than msn ever were.

My family group will probably go to Groupbox, not that it is any better than Aimoo, but it is just that it seems easy enough for me to put together my pictures and stuff in there................although, believe it or not, loading pictures there is slower than msn!!   I have not chosen Aimoo for two reasons, one is that I don't think I am smart enough to start a group there, and the other is for storage reasons................I have a thousand or more pictures to install and I am not sure if Aimoo would allow that from one person.

But, I think of the alternatives JB and Lesley looked at and tried, they have found what is probably the best for us.  When I have everything loaded up to photobucket, then I will be able to post as many pictures over there, as I can here.

I couldn't post in our Aimoo group last night. I could go in and see what was going on, but any time I tried to post I got a page not found error.

I think they will experience teething problems, but they are not alone JB - all the forums will have problems because there are a hell of a lot of people heading their way!!!

And from the episode with the "your message is being processed" recently, at least we can see that Aimoo make an effort to reply to messages, with proper answers, not gobbldygook like msn churned out, and they seem to try to get things sorted out faster than msn did..................

I think you're right Joy and evidence of that is in the fact that we have not started seeing any ads in Aimoo yet.

Normally they give a new group one month of ad free service, we're well on our way towards 2 months so far with no ads.

*JB makes a note to never tell Joy again that she's right bout somefin, it could be dangerous*

I was wondering about the lack of ads in the group - please don't you and Lesley go paying out for diamond status, I have seen the ads in the other group I visit, and to be honest, they are easily ignored, they are set right in with the replies to messages, so treat them like a reply to a message and just overlook them.

LOL you sill sod, don't you know yet that to tell me anything is dangerous?   Mind you, I would not go so far as to say that I am always right and never wrong, there are occassions when I am............er...............less than absolutely right...
