Yes, as I suspected...............paragraph 2. (I must be psychic.............or maybe the word is psychotic?)
We adopted a "Gordon".............he is an elderly chap, lovely uppercrust accent - was on his own, and he was put onto our table the first evening meal, so we kept him. Well..........whilst it is ok for someone like me, to wander around a place alone, men are not really cut out for that, are they, besides, Gordon is ex-RAF (hence the accent eh wot) and DH is ex-army, so the brylcreem boy and the pongo got on with flying colours - it gave DH someone to play with whilst I was marching ahead.
One of the trips was to Dundee, and we spent a good couple of hours looking around the ship The Discovery - the one captained by Cpt Scott on his attempt to get to the South Pole - it was trapped in the ice for two years. There was a museum with films to watch, news of the time, and of course, to see the skiis they used and the clothes they wore. The ship was extremely interesting.
Another trip was to that distillery again (hic) with plenty of wee drams, we went to Pitlochry, and a couple of other places, can't quite remember,Blaire castle was one, and we had mulled wine there to warm us........... but it will come to me, and when DH sends me the photos, I will have to try to post them in the new group!
