The deep fried Mars Bars, PDU (look at me initialising everyone and they say the Americans do it - hahahahaha).....back to what I was saying.....the deep fried mars bars are a delicasy in Scotland more than in England, they coat them in the same batter that they coat fish in, and just......deep fry them. I tried one when I was in Scotland and actually liked it........but I wont eat them again because of all the cholesterol.
We Brits call all sorts of things pudding, not sure why, we just do - maybe it is to confuse the rest of the world
Black pudding is disgusting, I have to cook it sometimes for DH and I hate it....
Those white bits are fat, lumps of fat, and the rest of it apart from the skin is pigs blood, so basically it is fried pigs blood - eewwww
Jellied eels are in a sort of runny aspic jelly and are bloody awful, I would not eat them but DH does.....
And with the sweet recipes - I always add more sugar as we have a terrible sweet tooth too in this family
